More about this plant

A slow growing green laceleaf Japanese maple whose strongly cascading branches build an elegant domed, mounding form. The finely dissected leaves are bright green through spring and summer and turn gold, yellow and orange with crimson highlights in fall, after which the layered branching carries the winter picture. It prefers dappled shade and moist, well drained soil high in organic matter, and leaf tips can burn in extremely hot afternoon sun. Use it as a cascading specimen, a container plant or a focal point at a woodland edge or pond side.
