More about this plant

Red Filigree Lace is a dwarf lace leaf Japanese maple of about 6 to 8 feet tall and 4 to 5 feet wide, moderate to slow growing. Its foliage is extremely finely cut, described as one of the finest textured of all lace leafed maples, opening bright burgundy in spring, darkening to maroon through summer and turning vivid red in fall. It grows in sun to mostly shade with even moisture in an average to rich, well drained soil. Its small size and delicate texture make it ideal for containers and small spaces, and for use as an accent or specimen where the foliage can be seen closely.
