More about this plant
A red maple selection with a compact, uniformly rounded habit and a high canopy, growing to about 50 feet tall and 45 feet wide at a medium rate. Showy clusters of red flowers line the branches in early spring before the leaves, the foliage emerges red and matures green, and fall colour is an outstanding wine burgundy. It is adaptable, prefers average to wet conditions and even tolerates standing water, but strongly prefers acidic soil and yellows in alkaline ground. A low maintenance accent and shade tree for full sun to part shade.
