More about this plant
The white flowered redbud, a more compact and tidier tree than the ordinary white form, growing about 15 to 25 feet tall and wide. Profuse clusters of larger than usual pure white sweetpea-like flowers open along the bare branchlets in early spring, followed by clean heart-shaped green leaves that form a neat summer canopy and turn yellow in fall. It prefers full sun to partial shade and a well drained soil, adapting to loam or clay with moderate water. Use it as a specimen, an understory tree at a woodland edge or a flowering accent where the white bloom reads against dark evergreens.
