More about this plant

A dwarf butterfly bush around two feet tall and two to three feet wide bearing the large full flower spikes normally seen on a much bigger plant, in true blue with a yellow orange center eye. It blooms non stop from early summer through frost, and thick sturdy stems give it vastly improved winter survival for a dwarf butterfly bush. Give it full sun, low water and good drainage. The mounded habit works in borders, edging, mass plantings, containers and as a small focal point, and the flowers bring in bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. It was named the 2021 Flowering Shrub of the Year.

  • Full Sun
  • Grows to 2 ft tall and 3 ft wide
  • Blooms in summer, fall
  • Hardy in USDA zones 5-9
