More about this plant
A dwarf butterfly bush about two feet tall and wide that carries full sized amethyst purple flower spikes, each floret marked with a tiny yellow orange eye. It blooms from early summer through frost without deadheading, and its thick sturdy stems give better winter hardiness in zone 5 than other dwarf butterfly bushes. Plant it in full sun with low water and good drainage; it resists deer and rabbits and needs little care. The compact mounded habit suits borders, edging, mass plantings, containers and small focal points, and the flowers draw bees and butterflies.
- Full Sun
- Grows to 2 ft tall and 2 ft wide
- Blooms in summer, fall
- Hardy in USDA zones 5-9
- Deciduous foliage
