More about this plant

A dwarf deciduous weigela that keeps a low mounded frame and carries soft pink trumpet shaped flowers in late spring with a second flush in late summer. The opposite, serrate mid green leaves are unremarkable but the plant is compact enough for city gardens, cottage borders, patios and coastal sites. It grows in full sun or partial shade on any moist but well drained fertile soil, tolerates deer, salt and air pollution, and asks for little beyond a light prune after flowering. Butterflies and hummingbirds work the blooms.
