More about this plant
A NewGen boxwood with a rounded habit nearly as tall as wide, reaching about 3 feet by 3 feet at fifteen years and 4.5 feet by 4.5 feet at twenty five, growing at a medium rate of two to four inches a year. The foliage is very deep green and holds excellent colour through winter, with leaves slightly more elongated than those of Green Beauty, and the strong branching structure withstands moderate to heavy snow loads. NewGen reports good resistance to boxwood blight, though with some susceptibility under extreme circumstances, and much better boxwood leafminer resistance. It is deer resistant, takes sun, part sun or shade, and serves as a medium specimen, medium hedge or foundation plant.
