More about this plant
A vigorous NewGen boxwood with beautiful glossy green foliage that grows fast, at three to six inches a year, reaching about 3.5 feet tall and wide at fifteen years and 5 feet by 5 feet at twenty five. The habit is rounded and slightly taller than wide, more uniform and tighter than older cultivars, and the foliage may bronze in winter in full sun or exposed sites. NewGen reports good resistance to boxwood blight with proper care and very strong resistance to boxwood leafminer, though all cultivars stay susceptible under extreme conditions. It takes sun, part sun or shade and works as a medium specimen, medium hedge or foundation plant.
