More about this plant
A narrow, conical common boxwood that grows at a medium rate to about 8 to 10 feet tall and only 2 to 3 feet wide, so it holds a strong vertical line without shearing. The glossy leathery evergreen leaves and small fragrant cream flowers in spring are those of common box. It takes full sun or partial shade in clay, loam or sand with good drainage around neutral pH and resists deer and rabbits. Clemson recommends it as a tall hedge, as a specimen for a narrow space, or as a tall accent at the end of a foundation planting.
