More about this plant

A compact, mounding and well branched Encore azalea about 3 feet tall and 3.5 feet wide with dense evergreen foliage that keeps its look all year. The flowers are coral pink with white ruffled edges, single to semi-double and about 2.5 inches across, opening in spring and returning through summer with reliable performances into autumn. It wants 4 to 6 hours of direct sun, with morning sun and afternoon shade recommended in warmer climates, and acid soil around pH 5 to 6 that drains well. Set the root ball 1 to 2 inches above grade to prevent soggy roots, mulch 2 to 3 inches deep, and prune right after the spring flush so the summer and fall buds are not removed.
