More about this plant

It keeps a compact habit, reaching about 2 to 3 feet tall and wide in ten years, which is why it is used for small spaces and is popular for bonsai. It is hardy in zones 7 to 9 and, like other azaleas, wants part shade and acidic soil high in organic matter that stays moist and drains well.
