Flowers
Pink buds open creamy white on lightly fragrant, flat topped cymes 3 to 6 inches across in March and April.
Foliage
Simple, opposite, shiny elliptical evergreen leaves 2 to 4 inches long with serrate margins, a corrugated surface and hairy undersides.
Fruit
Drupes that ripen red and finally turn glossy black, displayed in fall and persisting into winter.
Pruning
Occasional pruning encourages density. Viburnums generally respond to selective thinning cuts in early spring to regulate height and spread.
