More about this plant
A vigorous, fast growing deciduous magnolia with a pyramidal habit, reaching about 40 feet tall and 25 feet wide. Bright canary yellow flowers roughly three and a half inches across open in late spring after the leaves have emerged, which keeps the bloom clear of late frosts, and they cut well. It takes full sun and needs deep, regular watering for the first few seasons, after which it is water wise. Deer and rabbit resistant and easy to care for, it makes a strong front yard specimen, parkway or driveway tree.
