More about this plant
Spring Matrix Scarlet is a Spring Matrix series pansy that produces more flowers per plant than other pansies. Spring Matrix is a large-flowered pansy bred for cool, short days, with thick-petaled blooms about 3 inches across held over the foliage on sturdy stems and a well-branched, mounded habit 8 to 10 inches wide. Pansies prefer full sun to part shade in humus-rich soil that stays consistently moist but drains well. Plant in fall for winter and early spring bloom; deadheading prolongs flowering, and plants decline once summer heat arrives.
- Full Sun
- Grows to 0.8 ft tall and 1 ft wide
- Blooms in spring, fall
- Hardy in USDA zones 6-10
- Semi-Evergreen foliage
