More about this plant
Touch of Gold is a dwarf, rounded, mounding Japanese holly grown entirely for its bright golden evergreen foliage, which keeps its colour in every season. It stays small, about 2 feet high and 4 feet wide, takes full sun to part shade with medium water, and is hardy from zone 6a to 9b. The breeder describes it as carrying no flowers or berries. Use it as an accent, a low hedge, a border, a container plant, a mass planting or in a rock garden, where the gold reads strongly against deeper green neighbours.
- Full Sun
- Grows to 2 ft tall and 4 ft wide
- Blooms in spring
- Hardy in USDA zones 6-9
- Evergreen foliage
- Native plant
