Matrix Blotch Mix combines Deep Blue Blotch, Ocean, Red Blotch, Red Wing, Rose Blotch, Yellow Blotch and White Blotch pansies. Matrix is an extra-large-flowered pansy whose big blooms sit on strong, sturdy stems and hold up to heat, with more flowers per plant than other pansies on mounded plants about 8 inches tall and 8 to 10 inches wide. Pansies prefer full sun to part shade in humus-rich soil that stays consistently moist but drains well. Plant in fall for winter and early spring bloom; deadheading prolongs flowering, and plants decline once summer heat arrives.
