More about this plant
‘Koshyi’ (also sold as ‘Koshiji’) is a true dwarf and one of the slowest-growing forms of Japanese Cryptomeria. Over 10 years it reaches about 2 ft tall and 3 ft wide. It spreads wider than it grows tall, forming a dense mound with a flat to rounded top. The soft, light green foliage holds its texture year-round, giving small spaces a fine-textured evergreen accent.
Its compact size and slow growth make ‘Koshyi’ well suited to fairy gardens, rock gardens, miniature railroad gardens, containers, and other tight spots where a full-size conifer would outgrow its space.
- Full Sun
- Grows to 2 ft tall and 3 ft wide
- Hardy in USDA zones 5-9
- Evergreen foliage
