The tree is vigorous and productive with low susceptibility to bacterial spot, and it is self fertile. Like all peaches it grows fast to a rounded, spreading 15 to 25 feet, opens showy fragrant pink flowers before leaf out in spring, and needs full sun, well drained slightly acidic soil and regular pruning. It requires roughly 750 to 800 chilling hours. The seeds are poisonous and dropped fruit is messy.
