More about this plant

Autumn Brilliance is a serviceberry selection of the hybrid Amelanchier x grandiflora, maturing at 20 to 25 feet and faster growing than the species. White flowers open in pendulous clusters in early spring and last about a week, followed by round bluish purple fruit that Clemson calls extremely flavorful. Its name comes from brilliant red fall colour, and it shows more resistance to leaf spot and fire blight than the species. Serviceberries take full sun to partial shade and prefer moist, well drained soil in the pH 5.5 to 7.0 range, which suits a woodland edge, a naturalized planting or a small ornamental tree in a bed.

  • Grows to 25 ft tall and 20 ft wide
