More about this plant

A dense, upright sasanqua camellia growing to roughly 10 feet tall and wide, clothed in glossy dark green leathery leaves 1 to 3 inches long. Profuse pink edged white blooms with yellow stamens cover the plant from fall through winter, when little else is flowering. It performs best in partial shade sheltered from full sun and drying wind, in a moist, well drained soil rich in organic matter and on the acid side. Its density suits it to high profile foundation plantings, hedges, screens, espalier and large containers.
